As the Purchasing Administrator, this position is responsible for the entering, executing, confirming and maintaining Purchase Orders and the Purchasing process within a World Class Manufacturing environment. Works closely with staff, suppliers, manufacturing and distribution to ensure internal and external customer expectations are met. Full and Part time candidates are encouraged to apply.

The Purchasing Agent will ensure the procurement of cost effective quality materials, supplies and services to support the organization and meet corporate goals. Key responsibilities include:
• Process all non-inventory and Inventory order requests as needed
• Work and communicate with employees to ensure best purchasing practices
• Enter purchasing requisitions to the ERP system
• Ensure accuracy of all data entered to PO system
• Communicate with suppliers when placing orders, receiving confirmation, and/or when requesting quotes (RFQ's)
• Coordinate delivery of purchases with operations, customer service, shipping/receiving and engineering where applicable
• Identify potential sources for new products and material as requested
• Work with finance to establish and set up new suppliers/vendors, and/or maintain vendor information
• Maintain Purchasing module

Position Qualifications
• 5 years of related experience
• Basic math skills and financial knowledge (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Attention to detail, ability to take initiative, be thorough
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Excel/Word/ MS office
• Some working knowledge of ERP and Manufacturing systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
• Understanding of purchase order entry, general ledger accounts and department coding
• Understanding of 3-way match process – Purchasing, Receiving, AP process
• Must be able work with all levels of management and staff
• Ability to work with and multi-task
