Job Description


Job Title:  Logistics & Compliance Analyst

Reports To: 

Group/Division:  Logistics/Operations

Position Location:  Chelmsford, MA


Position Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for Global Trade Compliance, which includes maintenance of the company's import and export compliance program & roadmap relating to U.S. and foreign laws and regulations. These laws and regulations include, but are not limited to, the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Dangerous Goods (IATA and DoT) and other Foreign Trade Regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and coordination of daily export and import transactions, including HTS & ECCN classification requests; updating and releasing orders in ERP
  • Perform self-classifications of products and coordinate with suppliers on third-party classifications.
  • Assist with Foreign Trade and cross-functional projects, which may involve advising of destination country requirements.


  • Process export shipping requests & documents for shipments transacted outside of ERP system
  • Maintain Deemed Exports and Denied Persons screening activities and processes for customers and vendors
  • Maintain and update license logs ensuring compliance with export license quantities and values
  • Ensures legal compliance per Company policy and Governmental rules and regulations,
  • Liaison with freight forwarders to ensure shipments are on schedule
  • Perform internal export and import audits (e.g. exception logs, AES filings, etc.), as required
  • Submit commodity jurisdiction requests to the Departments of State and/or Commerce as needed.
  • Provide cross-functional support to internal teams (e.g. Product Management, Field Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, etc.) for export/import-related inquiries.
  • Monitor regulatory changes
  • Serve as Empowered Official
  • Collaborate with Custom Brokers to expedite customs clearance of product
  • To be a subject matter export for international transactions


Knowledge, Skills Abilities

  • Minimum of 2 years of Import/export or general logistics experience
  • Working knowledge of the EAR, US Customs, Foreign Trade, ITAR laws and regulations
  • ECCN and HTS  classification skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Communicate effectively, both verbal and written
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
