Job Title:              Senior CAD Designer


Location:             Chelmsford, MA


How you will make a difference:

In this role, you will have responsibility for the mechanical design of parts and assemblies used in robotics applications and innovative new products for the defense and security marketplace.  



  • Provides MCAD support to design teams engaged in the development and manufacture of robotic systems. 
  • Applies skills in 3D CAD (Creo) design to prepare models and drawings of complex injection molded parts and assemblies
  • Compile and update bills of material (BOMs) in Windchill PDMLink
  • Leverage analytical tools to select optimal architecture and verify subsystems meet design intent



  • 10 years' minimum experience with 3D CAD, preferably Creo Parametric
  • 4 years' minimum experience designing injection molded plastic parts, complex mechanisms
  • ASME drafting standards, dimensional management methods and ASME Y14.5-2009 GD&T standard
  • Experience with Product Data Management tools, preferably with PTC Windchill
  • Knowledge of rapid prototyping methods
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet aggressive goals

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • Small mechanism design, especially gears, bearings, wheels, linkages, etc.
  • Structural design, stress & fatigue analysis with Creo Simulate or ANSYS
