Job Title:             Subcontracts Manager


Location:             Chelmsford, MA


How you will make a difference:


In this role, you will join our Major Programs team to lead the timely closure of complex subcontract management issues/situations.  The ideal candidate will have confidence and knowledge to lead all engagements with our major suppliers & partners.  Must have demonstrated ability to think strategically and effectively communicate supply chain/subcontracting risks and opportunities.  The ability to multitask and work with all Functions (i.e.; PMO, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance) is crucial to being successful. 



  • Negotiate terms and conditions, price, and schedule for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for multiple contract types.
  • Review Subcontract proposals and ensure a focus on assumptions, specification and SOW compliance.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate development of statement of work (SOWS).
  • Lead the competitive procurement process, develop evaluation criteria, negotiate subcontract provisions, and select/recommend subcontractors.
  • Write subcontract packages for review and approval, prepare awards and administer resulting subcontracts.
  • Negotiate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
  • Administer all Subcontracts
  • Functional process owner for Subcontract Administration



  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ year(s) related experience
  • Professional Supply Chain Certification(s) such as:  C.P.M., or, C.P.S.M.
  • Cost Analysis experience
  • Ability to obtain a current DOD Secret Security Clearance as a minimum.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic)
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARs is critical
  • Microsoft Office, D&B reports, MRP/ERP Systems, Negotiation experience, Contracts, and Legal Implications of Terms and Conditions


  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Working knowledge and direct EVMS experience
  • Contract Administration experience
